Experience life as a new girl in Tel Aviv with me

Moving to Israel in your late 20s isn’t easy. But it’s so worth it. Stick around for a healthy balance of big sister advice, and spicy lashon hara.

Dear diary,

Hi! I’m Yulia

When I came to Israel, I thought that that the hardest part would be the basics. Learn Hebrew, get a job, find an apartment. But that's the easy part. The real struggle is all those little things you can't exactly find through a Google search. Like how to figure out if that guy you just met is trying to date you, or just sleep with you. (Usually the latter). Or what to do if you find a stray dog at an army base and kind of want to keep it. Or how to navigate making and losing new friends, making dentist appointments, and building furniture all by yourself. This is the space where I share all that.

Psssst… falling asleep in Ulpan?
